Naah - feel free to send them all to me (in any format you are able to). I can listen to these all day long and often do. Must admit when I was a lot younger (in short shorts) I didn't see anything special in 'Me and Bobby McGee" but as I grew up (no dig intended) it just grew on me. Somewhere I have a version where Jerry yodels during the crooning at the end but can I find it? Thought it might have been during the Berkeley(71/72)or Fillmore East (April 71) runs but not so. Maybe in one of the Portland (71) shows - I'll nail the f*cker one day! And BTW (not by the way!), there's plenty of sour grapes in my past so I can sing along with that one all day long too - ya gotta walk the blues to talk the blues!!!! Let's just agree to differ but wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same thing !!!!

I love BTW. Now, this week, I have listened to shows from '72, '73, '77 and '81 and ALL of them ended with Sugar Magnolia. Where's the hate for that overplayed chestnut? That's the one I find myself skipping most these days...

I must confess that I skip over a lot of songs. In fact the percentage of songs that I skip becomes greater as the eras progress.

That's how I feel about The Promised Land, which wasn't a fave in the past, but is now A Chuck Berry cover I can tolerate and even enjoy (don't tell Tidewater)
